Other Programs

Each WVU Extension Office provides the public with information on just about any topic, either from office faculty knowledge specialties, office publications, or on-line resources. Extension programming reflects the needs and interests within the local community. As a federal, state and local partnership Extension programming brings together knowledge and resources from a host of sources, but all programs are not available in each county. These activities are in the areas of business retention and expansion, entrepreneurship development, economic development networks, strategic planning, local government finance and special studies of socio-economic trends. WVU Extension has programs in Community Resources and Economic Development, Fire Service Extension training, Labor Studies, and Safety and Health. These programs, individually or combined, make for a valuable tool in maintaining our state’s communities.
